One of the best presenters on British television, Julia Bradbury manages to be authoritative and warm, funny but not fluffy. Whether it’s wandering fells and craggy horizons on BBC Four / BBC Two’s Wainwright Walks or perched on a desk on BBC One’s Watchdog, Julia is capable and charming. Judging from her guide to Berlin – in Rough Guide to Cities that also covered Rio and Jerusalem – she also knows some right dirty jokes and could probably drink you under the table.

South Africa Walks – Julia has embarked on a truly grand adventure across South Africa. This outstanding series takes in some amazing sights rarely seen on camera. Julia kicks off the new series by walking the Garden Route on BBC Four from Monday 26th April.

Julia has been appointed President of the Ramblers for 2010. What a year this is turning out to be – and it’s not even June!

Julia walked in the footsteps of the famous fell-walker and guide writer Alfred Wainwright. The third series, entitled Wainwright Walks: Coast to Coast
was aired on BBC Four in 2009.

Around the World in 80 Days
Julia and fellow presenter Matt Baker were amongst 12 celebrities racing against time to raise money for Children In Need. The programme offered a visually stunning circumnavigation of Planet Earth, re-enacting the epic odysseys of Phileas Fogg and Michael Palin for the 21st Century Audience.

Marie Curie Cancer Care – Julia is an ambassador for Marie Curie, the President of the CPRE and has also helped raise thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support
