| Secret Britian JULIA normally presents the massively successful Countryfile on BBC One. However, she and Matt Baker filmed a new special Countryfile programme called Secret Britain for BBC One which was broadcast in August 2010. The pair return to Countryfile in the Autumn. Julia and Matt embarked on an epic adventure to unlock the astonishing beauty of Secret Britain. They started in the far South West of England – the first leg of their journey took them all the way to Dover across some of the most crowded parts of the UK. Yet even here there were hidden corners and forgotten stories. Matt explored Britain's only desert, while Julia went off the beaten track to discover the shady green world of Dorset's holloways. In the second programme, the pair explored the hidden heart of the UK on the second leg of their journey across Secret Britain. It was a journey of revelation, that took them from the eerie flatlands of East Anglia to the staggering sea cliffs of Pembrokeshire. Matt searched for a mysterious island in the enigmatic waterworld of the Norfolk Broads, while Julia discovered a secret side to Swindon.
